The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) seeks the services of a qualified SDVOSB small business for the Steel Disassembly & Salvage of Training Complex Demolition at the Potomac Job Corps Center.

The work involves general contractor services for the disassembly of two (2) existing steel framed structures and the demolition of two (2) reinforced concrete slabs on-grade and associated buried site infrastructure at the Potomac Job Corps Center. The structures to be disassembled comprise approximately 12,400 gross square feet.


Demolition includes removal and disposal of reinforced concrete slabs on-grade, footings and foundations; and miscellaneous installed plumbing and electrical utilities underneath the slabs. The work also includes the removal and disposal of all residual, miscellaneous construction debris left on the site, including steel members and decking on twelve flatbed trucks, and approximately 100 pallets of concrete masonry units (CMU).


The contractor will hydro-seed and restore former construction site as a green area. Bright Street, between Ninos Drive and DC Village Lane and formerly used for access to the construction site, will be repaved.


The contractor will be provided reference construction Bid set (drawings, specifications), as well as Site Survey Report and existing utilities removal plan.
