Texas courts have held that when a corporation employs a licensed physician to treat patiennts and itself receives the fee, the corporation is unlawfully engaged in the practice of medicine "Garcia v. Texas St Bd of Med. Exam'rs 384 F. Supp 434, 437, 438-39 (W.D. Tex 1974)

Because licensure may only be secured by qualified individuals and is required for practice, see id 256.001-256.002, corporate owndership or operation of, or control over or interference with, a dental practice is prohibited.  Unlicensed practice is a felony, id.
