The City of Stamford, Connecticut, is soliciting proposals from qualified and experienced firms to redesign, develop, implement, and host a modern, secure, accessible, and user-centered municipal website ecosystem. This initiative encompasses the redevelopment of the primary City website (stamfordct.gov) and the creation or migration of multiple affiliated sites, including but not limited to the Office of Economic Development (choosestamford.com), Stamford Police Department, Recycling and Sanitation, Town Clerk, Stamford Public Schools/Education, the Board of Representatives, and the Board of Finance. (Proposers may also submit a proposal for the development of a stand-alone site for the Office of Economic Development.)
The City seeks a long-term partner capable of delivering a cohesive digital environment that improves public access to information, enhances transparency, and supports efficient online service delivery. The redesigned ecosystem must reflect modern design standards, comply with all applicable accessibility requirements, and provide a streamlined, intuitive experience for residents, businesses, and visitors.
This RFP outlines the City's expectations for a comprehensive redesign that includes a robust content management system (CMS), a centralized Boards and Commissions database, ADA accessibility and language translation, improved search functionality, enhanced media capabilities, and seamless integration with existing and future third-party applications. The City intends to select a vendor that demonstrates technical excellence, proven municipal experience, and a strong commitment to customer service and long-term support
