Berkeley Housing Authority Financial Audit and Tax Services

The Berkeley Housing Authority ("BHA") is soliciting written proposals from highly qualified public accounting firms to conduct the annual Financial Audit and Tax Return Services for the Authority and its Non Profit affiliate, Affordable Housing Berkeley. The audit shall be conducted in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and Government Auditing Standards, issued by the Comptroller General of the United States. The audit and financial statements shall meet the requirements of federal single audit regulations as prescribed by Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards, GASB-34 Basic Financial Statement's and Management's Discussion and Analysis.
The audit shall cover fiscal years ending June 30, 2022, 2023 and 2024 with an option to renew for a fourth and fifth year.
The scope of engagement, content of proposal, and vendor selection process are summarized in the RFP (attached). Proposals must be received via email to Jesy Yturralde at jyturralde@cityofberkeley.info no later than 5:00 p.m. January 19, 2022.
